| Here’s a worn SRAM Force rear mech that I’m currently pondering about. My plan is to figure out how to remove the pivot pins so that I can take the parallelogram pieces apart. Once they are apart I will do a massive shaving job to save some grams. The limit screws are all currently steel and M4 in size, I plan on taping the holes out so they accept M5 Nylon limit screws. After all that, hopefully I can fab a titanium spring and aluminum or titanium pivot bolts to put it all back together. I’m shooting for a 50 gram savings with this project. Next |
